Lauren B. Lascher
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LMSW
Therapy can have a deep and profound impact on a person's life and overall well-being - offering assistance and guidance in uncovering and healing past wounds, and transforming ways of seeing and interacting with the world. Therapy can serve as a way to garner insight into oneself and ones environmental influences, as well as provide a deeply reparative relationship and process. "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change" - Carl Rogers.
My approach is empathic, and non-judgmental, assisting clients in understanding their inner thoughts and feelings. This empowers clients toward greater insight and self-awareness, while garnering inner strength and resources. My approach is integrative, viewing clients through a psychodynamic lens to understand their ways of relating to the world, while incorporating CBT, and mindfulness.
I completed my Masters at Fordham's Graduate School of Social Service. I have advanced trainings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Beck Institute, as well as in DBT, mindfulness, and Trauma Focused-CBT.
